The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on September 30, 2022, regarding not following diapering procedures and an unqualified person alone with children. An investigation was conducted on October 4, 2022. The complaint is substantiated for not having an extra supply of diapers available for use by children if a parent or guardian does not provide them when required. The complaint is substantiated for leaving an unqualified person alone with children, because Ms. Chinn and Staff #1 admitted Staff #1 went out to buy diapers, leaving an underaged person alone to provide care.

On September 14, 2022, Licensing Specialist (LS) Mary Catka attempted to conduct a visit to the facility to investigate complaint allegations. No one answered the door or the telephone. Ms. Catka returned on September 20, 2022, and was able to conduct the complaint investigation. Ms. Catka observed the grounds before entering and did not observe trash piled up outside the child care home. Upon entering the building, Ms. Catka stood in the lobby for a few minutes to see if there was a dirty smell. No unpleasant odor was detected.
