It was sent to the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) on April 27, 2023, and screened in for improper discipline, not providing an accident/injury report, not following the pick-up policy, lack of attendance records, and inadequate staff.     OCCL received a complaint on June 9, 2022, regarding an employee using her phone, when she was supposed to be caring for children resulting in a lack of supervision. This complaint is substantiated for lack of supervision because according to staff members who were interviewed and the information provided by staff members at the park location, teachers have had difficulties keeping the children away from the front gate entrance that is near the street, and have had to stop children who ran away from the field area towards the dock.

    On May 17, 2022, a report was made to OCCL in regards to staff yelling at children in care, and expired food being served to children at the center. An investigation began May 20, 2022, and concluded May 25, 2022. All staff interviewed stated they never observed staff at the center yelling at children. This complaint is substantiated for the center serving expired food because expired food was found on the kitchen shelves, in the kitchen cabinet, and in the refrigerator.
