On October 23, 2023, a complaint was called into the Child Abuse and Neglect Report Line and was not accepted for investigation by the Institutional Abuse Unit (IAU). The Office of Child Care Licensing received a complaint on September 27, 2022, regarding parents not being allowed into the center. An investigation was conducted on September 27, 2022. This complaint is unsubstantiated because LS Hackett observed the door being open upon arriving at the center and observed parents picking up their children in the foyer area of the center. Staff #1, #2, and #3 stated parents are more than welcome to come inside the center, and parents may come to the classrooms by request. To make the hallways less crowded, Staff #3, Staff #1, or Staff #2 meet parents at the door in the foyer and take children to their classrooms.

On October 4, 2021, OCCL received a complaint regarding improper discipline. An investigation was conducted on October 7, 2021. There is no evidence to substantiate improper discipline because four staff were interviewed and no staff at the center was named Apple as was alleged by the reporter and they had not received any complaints or reports regarding a child being smacked. No staff were suspended as the reporter claimed.
