On February 28, 2024, a complaint was called in Child Abuse and Neglect Report Line and accepted for investigation by the Institutional Abuse Unit (IA). It was also sent to the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) and accepted for investigation regarding possible improper discipline. An investigation was conducted on March 20, 2024. On May 16, 2024, Institutional Abuse Investigator stated after a Multi-Disciplinary Team meeting, the case will be closed as unsubstantiated with concern for unexplained injuries. There is no evidence for OCCL to substantiate this complaint because the staff who were with the child on February 26, 2024, denied observing any bruises on the child and denied doing …

On May 24, 2024, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding improper staff-to-child ratio, not having enough staff to operate, and being under the influence of alcohol if the phone call took place during the hours of operation. An investigation was conducted on June 6, 2024. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint because the center was following proper staff-to-child ratio, had enough staff to operate during the visit, and the owner stated the phone call took place after child care hours but does not recall informing the parent she has been drinking.
