Vermont has 1,054 licensed child care providers on public record across 14 counties. Vermont publishes each provider's STARS quality rating (1–5 Stars), which we surface on every provider page.

Vermont STARS quality ratings

STARS is Vermont's voluntary quality-recognition system; a higher level reflects more of the program-quality standards met. Not every provider participates, so an unrated provider is not necessarily lower quality.
